if you don't care for sq side of the things, you may go with the setup you've mentioned. but with those 4" up front, I'm unsure if you are going to hear music, or more the subwoofers.

given that the only model number mentioned was for the HU, I dont see any reason why a good SQ system can't be achieved with what he's talking about doing. speaker choice will play a big role, as well as how they are installed, but it's not out of the question...

I wouldn't put 4" at the front and 6x9 in the back. Just a waste of money.

I agree, 6x9's have no place in my vehicle, but it seems that's what he wants..

I'd go with a decent 2 way component set up fornt, and if rear fill is still needed then a somewhat economical 5.25 coaxial set for the rear... amp the components, and run the rears off the HU, but it's not my decision.

if clean and clear is what you're looking for, then there is no reason why you can't achieve that with your set up. Just keep in mind that you won't be winning any sq competitions and the sound stage, imaging, and front impact are not going to be what most car audiophiles would call good. That said, many people, including myself, don't necessarily care if the sound is coming from the front or back as long as it's crystal clear, and there is lots of clean bass and impact. Remember, not everyone wants to rip their car apart for a stereo system that produces optimum sound when parked with the engine off...ambient noise is a bitch!!
