Alpine 7904 problem

I have a problem with the loading mechanism when it's really hot. It sucks the cd in but does not go down. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? My repair guy is working on it but he's not sure which components are faulty. I know it's an old deck but it sounds better than anything I've heard in the last 10 years. I want to keep it but it's very frustrating!!!

does it go down if you push it in further with a credit card or something? if so, sounds like the clutch in the transport is slipping too much.

Well I used to push the cd in to the end with a pen for it to go down. Then it got worse, I had to use a thin ruler to push the cd down (when it's really hot) but even that doesn't work sometimes.

Here's a pic of the 7909 transport, it should be similar to the 7904. the clutch is where the red arrow is. just replace it or modified it so it doesn't slip so much.

But would the clutch be affected by heat?? I cannot wait to have this HU back in my car. All these never ones sound like crap compared to this one.
Thanks for the help.
