alpine 9884 head unit question.

I have an alpine 9884 head unit and I can't seem to figure out how to adjust the EQ or increase the mid range anyhow. Its driving me nuts!

There is no EQ. Just Bass and Treble.

Thats quite strange...so is there any other way to tune the mid range? Can't believe an alpine deck like this doesn't have a EQ.

Didn't you research the deck to find out what features are included before you threw down? Some folks, like me, don't want extras built in and prefer to have the manufacturer spend the money on better quality parts than all the bells and whistles. I prefer to buy a dedicated outboard processor for my eq/xo/ta/ etc...

an EQ is not "bells and whistles". Alpine just trying to make more money off their accessories and crap. What do you guys think of the alpine power pack for the head unit? worth the money?
