Alpine CDA-9855 Display Issue

Hey all.
Been reading here for a minute..and have a quick question.

Tonight when I got into my veichle everything started up as normal.
Im running a Alpine CDA-9855 which I have never had a problem with..the screen went black. I touch a button on it..any button..rotate the the volume up or down..the display comes back on.
Leave it for about 2-3 seconds..and it goes black again.
Touch it..it comes back to life, then goes back to black.
You get the idea.
I searched the menus and theres no option to fix it.
Im lost..it worked perfectly fine all day.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

its a feature on the deck. press and hold the FUNC button (i think its called) untill you hear a beep. now the screen should stay on all the time.

manuals are there for a reason...especially with electronics that have so many features. As stated above press and hold "func" button for at least 2 seconds to activate/de-activate the black out mode.

Thank you guys.
I looked through the manual but I missed it..I also looked at 4am after work though..that could have been part of the reason.
Again, thanks for the help.
