if all you have going to the unit is power/ground
and the int ic is off it shouldnt get hot
had 9815 in my camaro the deck was really hot
found it to be the heater vent was underdash was circulating heat in the area of the head unit.
check your heater vents [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
