Alpine Imprint
#3
I have had the Imprint for about 6 months now. My suggestion would be to purchase the tuning kit instead of letting your local shop do it for you. I have found that I have re Imprinted about 4 times just from changing components around.
As for the actual system it's not going to do any miracles. If you are decent at tuning by eq and time alignment on your own (or have a friend that is) I would say don't bother. I myself am not good at that so I have found it useful. The system blends together much nicer than I coud have achieved on my own. The sound stage is considerable higher with it on than with it off.
If you search DIYMA there is a how to article on there about where to position the mics, turning down sub gain etc that I found useful.
