It's a really cool deck. Even without the Imprint portion. The deck has all the crossover, TA and eq features most people would ever want. I also find it pretty easy to navigate once your used to it.

I think theres one in the for sale section?

I'm just interested in the Imprint performance...my 9833 has most of the other features, plus it has a bunch of other features that it doesn't. The Imprint feature is what I'm curious about as it's supposed to revolutionize in car performance. I want some enthusiast's impressions of it compared to their previous high end set up. I mean the thing uses 500 points of eq, time alignment and cross over settings that are automatically set up via multiple microphone locations...so it should be interesting if nothing else!

I have it on my Denon 3808 home receiver, but haven't gotten around to play with it. I think it just calibrates your unit automatically with over a hundred EQ frequencies, and with the help of microphone supplied. It could be another gimmick, so you can have one other preset calibrated by Audissey equipment.

^^that's what I'm trying to figure out...is it a gimmick? or is it a true improvement in car audio that can't be done for 1/2 the price?

I got a chance to hang with Steve Brown and Garry Bell back in Feb. They told me that Mark Eldridge had used the Imprint stuff and he was impressed. He said it got the car about 80% perfect to him.(thats 110% to almost everyone els on the planet)
