I am driving a 94 mazda precidia(hatchback), I had two 10' alpine type X and a 2000 watt pheonix amp, with four 6.5 type S all around. The pheonix was only able to power one of them, which i shoulda known. So I decided to sell the whole thing, because i am more interested in 12' subs anyways, i like what they do better. What i'm wanting to do now is get one 12' X type, with a spec ported box hooked up to a Alpine PDX-1.1000 Mono Power Digital Amplifier, with a new deck, and if i got the money i'll upgrade those 6.5 S type to R type. I havent really decided on the deck yet. I was looking for some opinions towards what deck and any opinions towards the system it self, and if anyone suggests i should get a cap or not... If anyone has owned a PDX-1.1000 amp please tell me what you think of the amp. thank you for any replies......:smilie_da

Alpine makes some nice equipment. Would you be open to any other suggestions?

so are you saying i should be looking into another brand? i'm defently up to any other suggestions but alpine as always treated me well.
