Alpine - Serial Numbers

Anyone know what a typical serial number would be for an alpine 9852 Headunit?

I have 6 numbers written on the top of my invoice. Would this be the last 6 digits? If so what would be the first digits?

Most places don't put the serial # on your receipt. Do you still have the box?

Look on the HU itself. The serial number is used to track the equipment if it is stolen and to identify a specific piece of equipment so it should be stamped on the HU somewhere. I'm pretty sure I've seen the serial number on the sticker on my HU.

Not an option in this case, to look on the HU: http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/online/stolen/26655-stolen-headunit-speaks.html

Look on the box that the head unit came in, it might be on there. Also, if you purchased an extended warranty, it might be on that receipt. Did you register the HU with alpine?

That is why you should ALWAYS keep your serial numbers written down somewhere, I put mine in my filing cabinet in my Car Audio file, and also emailed my serial numbers to myself, because I don't think google (gmail) is going any where for quite a while.
