Alpine Set Up Help!!

Hi I have an alpine MRP-M2000 amp with two SWX-1243D subwoofers . Each sub is rated at 1000rms each. I have the zero gauge wiring kit for it and need some help with what else I should have to properly power this system,(ex should I change my battery, how big of a capacitor things like that, which will give the unit proper power while not killing my cars battery/alternator. Thanks in advance.

That would all depend on the size of your cars battery and alternator.

My car is a V8, came with a 140 amp alt and I changed the battery to a yellowtop. It would run that amp no problem.

If you have a 70 amp alt, dosen't matter what you do with the battery, you need to Replace your alt with a high output model, first.

BIG 3. bigger alternator. no cap cause its crap... waste of the juice you really need to power the amp, dont bother with it

and prob an extra battery in the trunk but i dont see y you would need one if its a daily driver.. unless u like to park the car. shut it off and blast it for hours.. unless theres something im missing

I've seen people runn 4k+rms on a stock alt.

Batts are more important, as is good wiring.
