Alpine Subs

What is the main difference between the Alpine SWR-1042D and the SWX-1042D besides the price, I have heard alot of good things about the SWR.

Also would the MRD-M1005 be enough to power 2 of these.

Power handling.

A 1005 would be a good match on a pair of the SWR10's but I would give the SWX10's more power.

The Type X is a good sounding driver but for the same money I would rather go with a IDMax or OZ ME which are better sounding and performing drivers IMO. Or an IDQ if you are running less power and are on a budget.

I have two typr R 12's in a dual chambered sealed box to Alpine specs powered by 1200 watts at 1ohm...and it sounds very good, tight, clean, more than enough output for daily use...and I still have most of my trunk. I don't think you would be dissapointed if they're properly set up.
