Hey guys, I recently purchased a set of Alpine Type R Component speakers, only to find out when they got here that the Tweeters were missing from the box!! They were bought second hand and the seller swears they were sent with the kit.

Anyway, I've decided that I'm going to find a set of tweeters to go with the kit. Does anyone know where I can locate a set of tweeters that will work with the component set? (Crossover?)

I'm looking for the Alpine tweeters that would have come with the kit. Any model #, or place to start looking?

Alpine SPS-1005 3/8" Dome Tweeter??

Is 3/8" standard??

 

try finding a set of cdt tw 25's from the Image enhancement kit, email, theprofessor2@hotmail.com he has a set i believe. you will be able to use the Attenuator with it as well since your using the existing out from your xover.

Will these compliment the Type R mids, or will they be over powering them?

Anyone else know if there is an actual replacement tweeter for this component set?

 

The Type-R speakers use a 1" tweeter. To my knowledge they aren't sold separately.

 

they will be fine they are a .75 inch silk, nice smooth tweeter. if you like the sizzle of a metal dome you may not fancy them.

 

If you can't find them, I have brand new Infinity ref 1001t silk tweeters in the box (no warranty, been sitting in my closet for over a year) if you are interested P.M. me.
