American Bass XFL, how I love thee
So for those of you who don't know, my name is fresh1 and I run American Bass. I have been a basshead for about 5 years and owned a good chunk of equipment, and I would just like to say that these subs are amazing. I know I've been running these for a while but today solidified my love for these things.
I run SounDigital for power, and the subs seem to love it. These subs are honestly some of the greatest woofers I've ever seen or heard. For starters, they're pretty beefy for some 12''s. I run 4 so things can get pretty loud, but I am not even giving them their rated rms and let me just say, they are SICK. I'm by no means a pro box builder, but these things have a great impact and pick up the lows with ease, and all while barely moving (makaveli07 can atest to that).
I'm a Cerwin Vega lover having run a pair of Vmax's for almost 4 years, before that were some Xplods, after were some 12'' TFX's and then an 18'' TFOne. None of these come close to what these XFL's can do. They're rated at 1000 rms, and I'll be honest my gain is all the way down and I already think these are outperforming anything I've run in the past musically, and after I get proper power to them I'm sure they'll do well with SPL as well. The only issue I have is that they vibrate my roof too much and now I need sound deadener.
For all you new guys looking for subs, or people looking to change to something in this power range, get the XFL. They're priced great, they perform great and they look cool to boot. While I'm sure similar subs like AQ's or DD's or Sundown or SSA or Image Dynamics or JL or Alpine etc etc are great, but these subs have not let me down in any aspect yet, and I would choose them over and over again.
