LOTS of good amps out there. just like everything else you get what u pay for for the most part. do some research online, check prices from manufacturer, check e-bay. i get lots of my stuff from e-bay but make sure your getting it from a company or person you can trust. for those subs your not going to want a cheep amp that's not going to perform.

2 dual 4 ohm subs will give you either 1 ohm, 4 ohm or 16 ohm final load. Your least expensive route is a 1000-1500 watts, 1 ohm stable amp. Much more costly is the 1000-1500 watts, 4 ohm amp...and much larger too. SQ difference...debateable?? my friend has 2 dual 4's in a small sealed box...about 1.7 cubes net internal with 2 pounds of polyfill driven by a Hifonics brutus 1205D (supposed to be 1200watts @ 1 ohm, though most feel they're over rated and it's probably more like 1000 watts). Anyway, sounds really, really, good and super clean and tight. It gets plenty low and easily plays the tocata in D minor track with lots of shaking and roof flex....more than loud enough for me, and certainly for music listening.

The "best" amplifier is unknown, everyone's needs and tastes are different. It is also 100% dependent upon your budget, you get what you pay for. If you have Champagne taste and Lucky Beer budget, well you are going to get a crappy beer. What budget do you have to work with and if you have not done so, take a sub out of the box and guarantee to me what the model number is. Nothing worse than buying the wrong amp....

Good thing you checked, a dual 2 ohm sub and a pair of them = a amp that makes it potential into 2 ohms. Now we can start searching for you. Most of the class d mono amps in this category are all going to be optomized for 1 ohm so it will be a little more difficult to locate a appropriate amp.

he can run his subs at 1 ohm and its going to make just as much boom less ohms means less resistance. with subs your not going to hear the difference in sound from 2ohms to 1 ohm. id just get a 1 ohm stable amp and wire it to 1 ohm get the best out of the amp and pound them subs.

STAY AWAY from ebay at all costs!!!! Too many problems with extra charges, waranty coverage etc. MR2NR will hook you up with something that will work with your budget and will stand behind his products.
