Is this amp good?

Hi,

I'm new here.. and I'm a newb to audio and am here to learn.

Quick question... I'm selling an alarm (on another forum) for like 300$ish.

And someone offered to trade me for this amp: audiobahn a8002t

I plan to get 2 12s later on, would this be a good amp for that? The guy says it's 800 rms and its 2 chanel so that's 400 RMS to each sub, good right (I realize I will need good subs to handle the power).

But is that a good deal for the amp? How much does it usually go for? Should I ask for cash? It's used but he says it works perfect and is in good shape.

Is the alarm you are trading new?

If it is not new (a removal) it is not worth much at all and you might want to take this trade.

If you can sell for $300ish I would take the money and buy a used mono amp, maybe a used Rockford, MTX or Alpine.

Thanks guys... what about this amp for my alarm?

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17109

brand new.

BTW My alarm is used but it's a 500 dollar alarm with 150+ in extras so I'm asking 320 for it.

Get the alarm sold and then scoop up one of my last remaining Infinity Reference 7541A amps for $200 before they are gone.
