amp grounding to same point or not?
I was wondering if it's necessary to run the ground wires from the same point?
I have 2 14mm bolts about 10-15cm apart under my rear seat and I needed to know if it's allright to run grounds from both. Or is it better from 1 point? |
You can ground to more than one location. It will not hurt. I thought I read somewhere that you should avoid using a common ground... I still use my ground distrobution block with no issues though...
Remember to strip to bare metal! |
You should always try to ground to the same point, for every new ground in the system there is a potential difference and then the is a chance for noise to be induced. I believe its called a ground loop, if you wanted to be really keen if there is noise with two seperate grounds run a wire between the two points joining them together.
