Amp Help/suggestions

Wow, I can't believe I found a canadian forum for car audio .. I'm so excited!!

Anyways, I purchased subs a couple months back: 2 10" Pioneer 350RMS/800Max single voice coil; so basically I was going to hook them up parallel so it could be a 2ohm load.

Recently I bought a Kenwood kac-9102 mono amp which is rated at 850RMS @ 2ohms (from a local dealer!)

Now my question is, are the new kenwood amps actually good because I was told people on my 6gc.net site that Kenwood lies about their ratings and they really don't power up to 850RMS . Is it possible for both my subs and amp to not be telling the true RMS .... if so can anyone suggest a good affordable amp because now I'm kinda stuck with these subs. Thanks.

Dont worry about. Both companies rate there equipment roughly the same. That amp will be fine. Just hook it all up and you should be good to go. Your on the right track. I believe that amp is CEA2006 rated so at between 13.5-14 volts you should see right around the perfect power (aprox 700-750RMS). That will be a nice match no doubt.

Have fun and welcome to the best forum around. Lots of knowledge here. :)

Cheers
