Update!

Had the amp checked out. It's a problem with the subwoofer channel. Seems the woofer blew out the amp. I wired the DVC sub for 2 ohm, which the amp can handle, but there was too big a draw? Gain too high? I'm not sure. I'm a little hesitant now with wiring up a DVC sub to this amp again. Maybe the sub was matched wrongly with this amp? Any ideas? Maybe I'll go safe this time and just hook up my trusty 10" svc 4 ohm JBL. Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't be to worried, just double check that you installed it all correctly and that the ohms isn't bellow what your amp likes to run at, or your subwoofers.

hmmmm, sounds like a 4 Ohm DVC wired in parallel (so amplifier reacts to a 1 Ohm load), than connected to a bridged amplifier, with poor grounding?
Overheated voice coil, amp blew fuse, which was replaced with higher capacity, which blew the output transistor?
So.., what have we learned?

Fuses were all 60amp. Amp was not bridged. I used the same ground that my previous amp used for 10 years. I measured the resistance at the coils with a DMM and it showed 2 ohms. Is this not correct?

Also, amp was bought off ebay. Is it possible that it was already on the fritz? Maybe previously repaired but poorly?
