Amp Question - Arc KS or Alpine PDX
Need some advise for a friends install.
He is running POLK SR6500's up front (active) and an ID Q12 (DVC)
He is looking at either
Alpine PDX 4.100 up front and PDX 1.600 rear
or
ARC Audio KS 300.4 front and KS 500.1 rear.
Which one do you thing would be best and why?
I like the Alpine as they are compact, have ICE technology and are a little cheaper.
Thoughts............

pdx. they are Extremely efficient, sound great(don't let the fact that the 4.100 is a class D fool you, the sq is very very nice), compact, can be stacked (i have two stacked in my car, and have never once had an issue), and the aren't lacking in power.
the arcs are nice amps, but as an overall package, the alpines are amazing.

Got to go with the Alpine...more power, smaller, better efficiency, more dealers and support locations, better price, and on a personal note, I've had very good service from Alpine products over the last 20 years.

If I didn't get such a good deal on my Audisons I would of gone with ARC SE (a different beast all together)

Nice setup you have
Personally I'm also looking for some amps but I blew my motor, trans and rear......hmm...maybe too much power

Of the choices...the Alpines! I've owned Arcs, Audison, Focal, and most other brands. I didn't hear anything spectacular with the Arcs or any of the others for that matter. As far as price vs. features/performance goes..the Alpine is the better buy. If you want an even better deal, look at Pioneer class D or Blaupunkt class D. They sound great, are reliable, small, and cheaper than the Alpines.

A lot of people are complaining about PDX noise... like the hiss you hear if you have the volume to high. Just google pdx noise and it might help you in your descision making.
Arc also has 2 lines of small amps, the arc mini(super small class GH and expensive) but they also have a cheeper line that is not as small (it is PDX size) and is cheeper.
