Amp Shuting Down
I Have An American Bass Vfl 200.1 And When I Burp My System It Seems To Shut Off After 3 Seconds Or So If I Shut The Deck Off And Back On It Works Again Any Ideas
|
This Only Happens When I Burp
|
If it doesn't do it when you play it but it does when you burp it. It may not be getting the power to stay within operating voltage. Can you tell us a bit about the setup, charging and power system.

I Have 2 12" Re Audio Sx's Running On One American Bass 200.1 At 1.1 Ohm I Have Two 2 Gauge Power Wires Connected By Ring Terminals Into One 2 Gauge Wire Same On The Ground Wire Each Power Wire Is Fused 100 Amp By The Battery SAME THING HAPPENED WHEN I HAD ONE 4 GAUGE WIRE I HAVE ONLY ONE BATTERY AND NORMAL ALTENATOR

Have you done the big three upgrade?
|
Not Sure What U Mean
|
Well if you do a search on big three you will find it. But basically its beefing up your Postive wire from your alt to the + side of your battery. A negative from your - side of your battery to the chassie. And a negative wire from your alt. bracket to the chassie. Its fine to have 2 gauge power but if your Ground wire from your battery to the chassie is 8-10 gauge then really 2 gauge power is point less.

Very Interesting Smartass I Will Now Do Some Homework Thanks

could it be from turning it up too loud?
what Volt pre-amp output is your deck? at an audio competition here about a week ago, my dad kept popping the breaker in his amp when he turned it up, he tweaked his system a bit, turned up some gains and stuff and now theres no more popping, but great volume. i know that if your deck has too high volt of a pre-out, it can cause the breaker to pop fairly easily if you crank it. hope this helps. |
i have 4 volt i think top line alpine
