AMP AND SUBWOOFER QUESTIOn

ok i got a 1200 watt amp and a 1200watt infinity subwoofer. how will this sound?

tonez735 04-23-2007 04:34 PM

That's like asking how fast a car with 4 wheels and a motor is...

JohnnyToronto 04-23-2007 04:51 PM

LMAO

Anyhow...what amp is it, what kind of infinity sub is it? What car are you driving, what box are you planning on putting it in... give us some more info here.
Telling us you have an amp and a sub and asking how it will sound doesn't help at all.
It could sound great, or like .

I am thinkin of putting the subwoofer in a homemade subwoofer box that im making. Im driving a 97 Chevy Cavalier, The Subwoofer is a InfinityŽ 1240W 12 Inch Subwoofer. It is 300 RMS. The amp is a sony 2 channel amp.

SPLN00B2 04-23-2007 05:53 PM

So you have a 300w sub and a 300w amp.

lol, nice one.

What type of box are you going to put the sub in?

Audiofool 04-23-2007 06:27 PM

the sub will sound nice if u put in vented box (ported) for better performance build box as design form infinity...great sub but not same quality of amp...sony...um...lets put it this way is ! but i guess could do the trick the box will make the big diffrence ... go vented and it should sound nice and maybe rattle some plastic off that cavalier:cheeky4:
