I am building this stereo for my Bike....I live in Japan and have to sit in Traffic all the time...I need some tunes. I went out and bought an amp thinking I could just hook it up to my battery then attach some speakers plug my MD Walkman into the input plugs running out the phones and all would be good. Except for some reason there is no power.....Do I need a Car stereo to turn the amp on?

I have everything...just not the now how.

Any advice greatly appreciated,

Lincoln ;)

I would think its a case where your missing a remote turn on signal to the amp....

maybe run a 2nd feed off the battery to a toggle switch to turn the amp on and off via the remote turn on...

Just a thought...

make sure that you have a 12 volt power supply also, apart from checking the remote wire. you may only have 6 volts for your bike. which is well below the needed voltage. you may have to get a seperate batt or even get a power trans former if that's the case. car audio amps used 12 volts. good luck and hope you get it going
