Amplifier Choices

I have just picked up a used Alpine MRP M-350 Mono amp (rated at 350w @2ohms) that I intend on putting my wife's Dakota pickup.

I am currently running an Infinity 611a that I bought new last summer in my truck. (It is rated at 667w @2ohms). I have been told that the Alpine has amazing power and is under rated. Is there a chance that this Alpine may out perform the Infinity therefore requiring that it should be in my truck. (See the deal is the good stuff goes in my truck and anything left goes in the wife's...like she's going to notice).

I also can pick up an Alpine MRV-F340 4ch amp to replace my Kenwood KAC-8402. That decision is a no brainer.
Please let me know your thoughts, thanks!

tryed the 350 and it might push in the 400 range but not to much over. the infinity amp is nice and clearly more power.. and infinity amps are made my Harmon Kardon.. same as HT amps. great stuff and great SQ..

since you have them both try it out. then you will be able to compared and see witch one has more power and witch has better SQ as well

Thanks danyman. I'll try the Alpine in the same vehicle just to compare but I'm sure you are right. The specs are just too far apart on the two amps for the Alpine to outperform the Infinity.
