which amps are better?
 

I am wanting to run 2 10 re audio sx's 1000rms each. I am looking at getting the soundstream picasso 2000d or the hifonics 2010d. The only defference that I can see is the picasso has 150 amps worth of fuses and the hifonics needs a 200 amp external. So in theory wouldn't the hifonics put out more. I like like look of the picasso. I can't decide. What do you all think?

well depending on your budget, i would say to get the alpine mrp-m2000...its 2000 rms all around...that should power those nice...

I bought a Hifonics 2006d online and absolutley love it. No regrets. Exept now those subs are starting to smell. The coils are going on them. Hifonics is the !

hifonics has a good reputation for amps. Also, most videos on youtube have a hifonics amp in them. But soundstream amps are very solid and built very well. But IMO i would get the hifonics amp =)

Its true that there are alot of hifonics amps on youtube. Same with re audio subs. I watched alot of vids with re subs and was impressed. They do pound quite nice off that amp but they are begining to fry. They claim 1000rms for the sx's but I doubt that now. I need new subs soon to run of that hifonics amp. Just don't know yet what to buy to replace the re's.

I've been looking for a subwoofer/ amp and am sold on the new Alpine PDX line since it won best new innovative product at the CES, but big bucks. I was looking to mate the PDX-M12 with some 12 inch R series, but then i saw this youtube vid on some 12 inch R's blowing out, so decided to go with beefier jl 12 in . Nice video. I had type r's and liked them but they can't handle more then 500 rms. They sound great. I am thinking about kickers. They seem to me crazy loud and not a bad price. Jl is too much for me.
