I was thinking of buying some deadener from b-quiet, but I don't know whether to buy 2 50' rolls of b-quiet extreme for 200$ or 1 70' roll of brown bread for 235$. (those prices are before the cca discount) Is the 30$ more for 30' less really worth it for the brown bread? Should I go with slightly more BQ extreme?

BTW, this is going into a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer and I do plan on buying some Lcomp.

Hmmm well really here are the differences ( IMO ).

The brown bread is a bit thicker.
For the price, you are gettin more deadner out of the extreme, an extraa 30sq.ft, witch can can do double layers in some area. Im using the extreme, used 50 sq.ft into a 86 gmc s15 ext. cab truck, I need more becouse I still have the 2 doors and the full floor, and 1 window to do (windo area). My buddy is usint the brown bread, I dont know if hes installed it yet.. So cant really tell you much. So really this is what you can look at. Little more thickness for more money and only 70sq.ft, or you can look a little bit thinner material, less money, more product 30 sq.ft more...

So it is really up to. Maybe run the extreme on the flooring and the roof of your car, and run brown bread on the the door panles and the trunk lids... I dont know!! But good luck with it man, post some pics!!

Brown bread has never let me down yet, Scosche accumat also works OK but the difference in thickness is definitely noticable in the amount of absorption.

Well, that COULD be a possibility, but then, due to lack of funds I would have to drop the Vcomp. Has anyone used this and thought it worthwile? Come on, let's get some more opinions on this! [img]graemlins/beer.gif[/img]

I have personally used the B-quite, it worked very well, I have some BB in my base ment for my roof, just never got to that yet ;)

i have the extreme (b-queit) didnt finish my project of the deadning becouse I ran out of materials, but I already notice a HUDGE!!!!! difference, accually kinda scary on how much it has down already.

I used a 70' roll of Brown bread in a 99 Mercury Mystique. I put down about 4 layers into each of the 4 doors. Then one layer on the rear seat and bottom of the trunk.

If you went with only 3 layers on the doors, then you'd have enough to do the entire trunk for sure. 70' is really quite a lot of mat. You could always do more in the trunk later since its easy to get to.

Wow, a Mystique is quite a sizeable car if I remember correctly. The Lancer is comparable to a Civic Sedan. Will wait for more opinions, but what is trotting in my mind at the moment is to get 3 rolls of extreme, screw the vcomp and just put more on the floor.

I dunno, this is my first attempt at deadening and (serious) car audio in Trois-Rivières isn't really common, so I have no basis for comparison.

If you want to do your whole car then buy the 100SQ feet rolls...its about an extra $30-$40 bucks off E-Bay.

I have 100 Square feet and---somehow I used half a roll on one door--- :confused: ---but that should be OK because I used 5-6 layers behind the woofer hole. 100 Square feet should be perfect for 2--Doors and an entire trunk---including enough left over to put another layer over all of them.

I've used a few different deadning products in my car over the last couple years. Out of them all, I found brownbread the best. Easy to apply, nice and thick, and not very expensive. I haven't tried the b-quiet extreme, so I cant really comment. I do know that many competitors use brownbread, and it has gotten fantastic reviews.
