First Entry: My latest install- Front Components and Amp.

I've been lurking around for a while now, but i have not really had anything to post as yet. Seeing I just installed my new Premier series 6.75" component fronts, and D-class 4 channel amp, i thought id share it as my first real post.

Was frustrating, but fun. I very rarely get to get my hands dirty on my car.

Car audio installers earn their money on 240's for sure. I worked as an installer/salesman about 7 years ago back in Australia, and am a little rusty nowadays.

BTW, these speakers are worth every penny, and have been voted the best sounding speakers of the year. I easily agree. Better than Boston Pro, and Hertz of the same range.

No wonder the fronts were sounding :

Flush mounted tweeters:

D-Class 4 channel amp and crossovers. Install was a little ghetto, just need to hide the rear speaker wires when i have some spare time, as i was in a rush to get it finished:

Everything worked out nicely. Hopefully its loud enough now to hear over the new exhaust and Blacktop that is going in this week!

Cheers

all the internals are made by bang and olufson. It produces the same amount of power as a class a amp for only a fraction of the current draw, and heat produced.

The FD class amplifiers are the way forward, and i am really happy with the quality of the sound produced. Especially when matched with the PRS components.

Here is a little more info on amp classes:

they sound really warm. The staging is off a little due to them being mounted where they are, but they are really nice tweeters. Not harsh like a lot of metal dome tweeters ive listened to.
