Another sub question, 12 Pioneer
 

Hey guys,

I can't seem to find anything in the way of subs that could be under 150 shipped, so I've found one locally. The guy doesn't have a cle what it is, only that it's a 12 inch Pioneer sub with 800 Watts max. This leads me to belive it may be one of those Canadian Tire Brand (The full blue cone) ones, except in black. Here's a picture of it:






I'm aware the dust cover is dented, but I'd be willing to live with that if it sounds ok. It seems like this sub wouldn't be too bad for SPL, keeping in mind it's only a 12", it doesn't seem like it would have no SPL power.
Any opinions on this sub? He's asking 70 in a box, which seems good to me, but I don't want to have this blow after feeding 200 RMS into it.

Sorry if this is a really dumb question, or you guys are sick of these questions from me, but I'm just trying really hard to build my system up good, and not be stuck with a bunch of crap in the end. Thanks a lot, and I greatly appreciate all of your help.

well pioneer isnt the best name by any means but it can do the job depending on what u want to get from your system. i personally wouldnt buy it used, instead i might recomend somthing like a 10 or 12" rockford p2 or if ur low on cash the p1 series can be a good bang for your buck. futureshop always has deals where u can get 10" rockford p1 in a sealed box for 100$ i bought it a while back and fortunatly they didnt have any of the boxes left so he had to give me a ported box that was worth 150$ :smokin: either way its your choice. u can get good deals on used stuff but u deffinitaly want to hear it before u lay cash down.

pioneer is good but dont buy used, even look into the premier subs.
