Wondering if anyone has this deck and what the sound quality is like.

I was also looking at an Alpine, how would it stack up against an Alpine?

SQ from one deck to another is going to be pretty much the if you are running your speakers off of it....In terms of features though Alpine has alot more. *IN THE 2005 LINEUP not the 2006* so try and get a CDA-9855 or 53. Or you are going to have to get a DVD deck.

 

Sounds good...good strong pre-outs and Burr-Brown DAC made it a great value at the time...ugly as hell though. Overall is does the job well.

I have a alpine 9855 in my other car...love it. But comparing it the JVC is unfair...different price point.

I can't remember exactly, but I think I got the G800 for $249-$299 on sale at Future Shop last year after it was discontinued.

The 9855 is still about $450 - $500.
