do you do the recones yourself or do you send them your motors?
whats the shipping times like from them?

anyone else have any experience to share?

I just got a few recones in from them too... Scott and co. are very knowledgeable and helpful, but I agree - The success of the company can be reflected in communication gaps at times. It took me about 3 weeks to get my recones in, but they were beauties and very well-priced.

I've heard shipping time is usually less than this, but my wait was probably due to the Christmas spike in the Can./USA mail systems.

I did the job myself, I'm guessing citrate reconed his too.

is it hard to do a recone? i mean i've seen it in pictures and explained on a video but could the average joe do it? i know getting gaps and whatnot right is important

Ive Got two FI Q 18's With the BP Power package and they slam nice but stay very clean sounding, They are in a 16.8CuFt ported box at 25Hz... Bottom End beasts :D
I have also gotten Two Recone Kits For an Adire Audio Brahma MK1 and MKII. I have yet to install them but the build quality is there for sure :)
Im in Toronto Area and It took about 3 Weeks to get my Q's from the day ordered and about 4 weeks for the Recones..
Communication is difficult but great when you get a hold of these guys !

It's really not all too hard, just follow the tutorials and you'll be fine most likely. Like you say, making sure you shim the gap right is probably the most important part... it's gotta be tight!
