I can get some new powerbass amps, subs etc cheap through work and im just wondering if its a good brand?

i did a search and i couldnt find much for reviews so im hoping someone here has something to say.

They make reasonable equipment. Nothing very special or spectacular. They range from really low end, to middle end products.

 

I had 4 of the Powerbass xa3000d and loved them. one of the best amp i have ever had. Last year CSPL was won with a powerbass1500. great stuff

 

Amps are a whole different story from their speakers and subs.

disagree their subs are good at their price point (you can break 150 in them) just not too popular. They dont necessarily take misuse that well, there are better products but they can still do well

 

They are ok at their price point. making an opinion based on the fact they their subs can hot over 150 (how many, what vehicle, what setup etc etc) has no bearing to the quality of the product. as a joke One of my friends put 4 12" Pyramid Super pro's in his wall and hit a 146...clearly they must be pretty good.
