Anyone know about earthquake amps?

I found a phd-2 for $200 cdn, worth it or no? says 1000rms @ 4ohm, and 2000rms @2ohm.:smokin: but will it do even close to that?:dunno: .
awfully small amp for the power it says it puts out. weights quite a bit though. i had it in my hands, and it weighed more than a very large ma hk amp that was about twice the earthquakes size if that says anything.
what do you guys think?

Ma Hk amps have nothing in them, if you open one up, there is very little to it, open an Earthquake D2, and you will see some amp!! I owned one of these, and it was Stout, never caught on fire like they are notorious for!! lol Great amp for the buck, I paid $180 for mine from a Member on here!! good deal if you ask me

cool, if the price on fixing my mono amp is too much i am grabing that bad boy next week-end. hopeing it puts out enough at 8 ohm for the sub i have now. i am planning on buiying another sub in the future, most likely a fi-q or something similar sohe extra power at 2ohm would be nice.

oh yeah, this amp is 1ohm stable as well, I ran mine @0.5ohms for comps, and 2ohm daily driver! Forgot to mention that

8 Ohms is a tough customer though

Earthquake gives very dirty power apparently.

Would you go so far as to say "whorish" power?

That was such a lame comment that I actually laughed out loud, haha.

Dirty power? Please explain? I would like to learn this term. Someone has told this to you, explain it as they explained it to you.

I never ran the D2 but i have owned D3, D5 , D10 people say dirty power well whatever but if you know how to control the power it can work wonders for you. I would pick up the amp if i was you just= my thoughts
