Is anyone using the optical output of a Pioneer XDV-P90?

Is there uninterrupted playback from a CD using the dvd changer's optical output? or is there a very brief silence near the end of each track, as the CD player seems to truncate the last 1 or seconds of each track?

I just got a refund for a two-week-old Kenwood DVD changer that did this.

I've installed a couple of the Pioneer's and don't remember them cutting off the song using the optical output. Seem to recall it played just fine.
