Assistance with proposed car audio components
Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum all the way from Johannesburg. Hoping I posted this in the right section.
I have been planning an audio install for my car the past couple of months and still saving up. With the internet research I have done thus far I came up with components which I thought should make a decent audio system. Budget is an issue so i went with pioneer with most components for cost effectiveness. Below is the proposed components and links with detailed description of them:
Head Unit:
Targa TDD-765 Double Din DVD with Bluetooth & TV Tuner
Targa TDD-765 Double Din DVD with Bluetooth & TV Tuner
Front Door:
Pioneer TS-A1605C 6" 350w Split System
Pioneer TS-A1605C 6" 350w Split System
Rear Door:
Pioneer TS-A1685S 6" 4Way 350 Watt Speaker
Pioneer TS-A1685S 6" 4Way 350 Watt Speaker
Rear Parcel Shelf:
Pioneer TS-A6961E 3Way 260w 6x9
Max power - 260w nominal 40w (got these from a friend still in box)
Amp for Front & Rear Door Speakers:
Pioneer GM-A4604 480w 4ch Amplifier
Pioneer GM-A4604 480w 4ch Amplifier
2 x Subwoofer:
2 x Pioneer TS-W3003D4 12" Champion Series 2000w Sub
Pioneer TS-W3003D4 12" Champion Series 2000w Sub
Amp for 2 Subwoofers:
Audio Bank Monoblock Amplifier - 2800w
Audio Bank Monoblock Amplifier - 2800w Power Output at 4ohm -680x1 Power Output at 2 ohm - 950x1 Power Output at 1 ohm - 1200x1 Power Output at 2ohm Bridged - N/A Total Harmonic Distortion -0.03% S/N Ratio Ref 1W at 4ohm - 90DB Gain Range - 0.25v-6.0
I would like to know if this system would be any good, and where I should/could change to get best results out of the proposed setup. I would also like to know what gauge wiring I should go for and if I would require a capacitor. The car I drive is a hatch back VW polo. Your insight would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.
