Attention Eclipse Gurus: Which amp- Eclipse EA4000 or PA5422
 

I am new to this forum and need a little advice from people who know old school Eclipse products, particularly their amps.

I am looking at acquiring a NOS Eclipse EA4000 for about $135. I can also get an Eclipse PA5422 (again, NOS) for about $185. I like the EA4000 because of where the controls are mounted on the amp for easy access when mounted on the backside of my back seat of my car.

But, for SQ, is the PA5422 a better choice? I know it is rated a little higher in power. I don't know if one is more reliable, or if one sounds better, or if one is easier to work with, etc.

Can anybody with Eclipse know-how chime in on this for me?

On a side note, this forum seems to be setup a lot like DIYMA. Are these two sites related?
