I love the a-pillar tweet install. How does the mid and tweet sound that much off-axis? I have heard cdt's love to be more off axis than other speakers. My buddy would be very interested in running that in his black 1.6. You could make some money if you wanted, he has the exact same components as you.

Looks good. And a girl that can work on cars . Too bad I don't know any of those.

How do the CDT comps up front sound? They looked pretty off-axis in the pics. Imaging/soundstage?

I've heard they like to be off axis but that seems REALLY off axis. It looks amazing, im just wondering how much SQ u sacraficed to get the look. Does the IE kit do its job raising the soundstage?

the car sounds excellent........

very wide soundstage... the ef's like to be off axis specially the midbass..... mikes clutch was some what of a factor in making the kicks as well as he didnt want the speaker to get in the way....

if you look closely the tweeters in the kicks are on axis they are also swiveled... i find the cl's and the HDEF's tend to be best suited to off axis response... while the es' regular hd's and hd cf's like to be on axis

very nice sounding car...

Kriston

Hehe.. I guess Kriston answered for me

Yes, the IE Kit does a great job of bringing up the sound stage. All I need left is an EQ, but that can wait until later.
