Audiopipe...thoughts?
so I got into a debate with someone on another forum about the audiopipe 1500 watt amp when choosing that or an AQ amp or a Hifonics one. I said the AQ, then Hifonics, Audiopipe I never used or read that many great things about.
just wondering, are these amps all they're cracked up to be? I mean they're crazy cheap for a 1500 watt rms amp, which makes me wonder why not that many people use them (not really, but I'm curious now)

Derek (fox_racin4) had 2 of the AP3000's. They seem to get loud. I don't know about real world power or protection circuitry, but for the $350 for a possible over 2K rms (he says 3K), sounds like they're at least worth the price.

Yeah thats what that other guy was saying. I mean, I'd take my SD over it any day, but I don't see that many AP amps at shows or in people's cars, but that guy was getting riled up as if he owned the company

No I don't think so. I actually have no idea who the guy is, its on a music site, I just sort of drop in as the car audio guy from time to time.
whoever it was started going off about how they did a direct swap from some big 1500 watt amp to the AP on an atomic apx or somthing and said they saw a drop of like .3 db and started quoting impedence rise and all kinda crap. I then told him that on the right electrical the crunch gp2500 does 1700 watts (so I've been told). then he got really upset lol
