Audison srx2 bridged to 2ohm?
 

I picked up a used srx2 (newer black version) for cheap a couple weeks ago and just had an after thought... It gets 220W bridged to 4ohm but I have a dual 4ohm sub to run with it. Does anybody know if the srx2 is 2ohm stable in bridged mode? Will I need to run my sub at 8 ohm instead of 2 and lose all that extra power? Did I pick up the wrong amp for the application?

It does not run at 2 ohms.
What sub is it?

Boston Acoustics G310-44. Been running it off a little old kenwood for a couple years at max input gain to get enough volume to keep up with the rest of my system. What if I ran parallel signals? Or maybe I should sell the audison for more than I paid and get a zapco to match the rest of my build plan lol. I guess I could always try it for my rear doors and see if 50x2 bridged is enough to run the sub off the other amp I'm dealing on.

Sorry, when I say parallel signals, I mean to run L/R channels parallel to the terminal cup where the sum of both signals could be picked up by each 4 ohm voice coil. Then the amp would see 2ohm in each channel, wouldn't it?

Never mind. I forgot this sub only has one terminal on it and changes the series/parallel ohm values via fuses. So who wants an Audison Srx2? lol
