i need to get my deck repaired so i come here asking for some advice. first, let me tell u the problems with my deck.

1. CD wont eject, nor play. So im stuck with just radio now.

2. the screen gets stuck when sliding in/out... it flips up/down fine. I think its getting stuck on something, but it could also be the gears/motor i guess (im no expert)

So what I want to know is..

are these typical problems/easy fxes?

does anyone know somewhere in the GTA (preferably east end) where I can get it fixed?

and any ideas how much i'm looking at to get it fixed?

Thanks for any help

Has your install changed recently or is it in the BMW pictured in your signature?
It sounds like perhaps the sleeve is too tight & not allowing the monitor to motorize easily (I've seen this before).
If it's an ISO mount, did you use original Pioneer screws to mount it? Maybe the screws used are too long & are interfering with the chassis of the unit (I've also unfortunately seen this before).
If neither are the case, Pioneer factory service is the best place to send it for repair. They are in Markham & the service department can be reached at the number in my signature.
As far as an estimate, there's no real way to even guess without a tech taking a look at it.
Good luck!

No, my install has never changed since I got it about 1.5 years ago. And yes, its in the BMW in my sig.

I had it professionally installed so I cant answer install related questions. I guess I'll just call Pioneer and hope it doesnt cost me an arm and leg.

^ thats OK then... still sucks its broken...

If it would normally be under warranty you might be able to get it fixed for free if you are a smooth talker.. ;)
