Question

Does it ruin anything if the head unit is putting out music to all 4 speakers but one speaker is not hooked up.

In other words... I am playing my music with two wires sticking out where my left front speaker is supposed to go. Is this bad?

No, provided that these extra wires are taped off or butted off so they do not ground out.

if it's possible to adjust the levels of the ouput on the deck (front, rear, left, right) you might as well turn donw the one that isn't being used....move the deck's power to the other speakers.

Doesn't work that way.
