I got some 3/4" tweeters that pop sometimes, so i figure id need some bass blockers (using factory deck)
anyone know what Kh/Khz of a bassblocker i should get? Where can I find them? I tried bestbuy, FS, and 2001 aud vid Also, does anyone know how to make your own? |
bass blockers rarely do anything except with small speakers 3 1/2" 4"
your tweeters should already have bass blockers (a capacitor) what your probably hearing is your deck crapping out so get an amp to drive them or turn it down |

i can see if he's running it active or forgot to put the crossover in

If the tweeters don't have a little capacitor on them then just buy a set from like www.partsexpress.com

I believe they are a part of the cdt upstage kit, the attenuator is used to adjust tweeter levels but it must be used in conjunction with a cdt xover with attenuator output, as the tweeter is xovered through the passive xover. Thus i dont think he has any caps inline already.
The source/radio shack may have them as well Mike. |

Also if they pop just once, they are probably dead now. Tweets can't handle that sort of thing.

Not in the actual passive xover.. Go read before you post... Basic common sense 101 [ September 05, 2005, 04:03 PM: Message edited by: battyrida ] |
