I got some 3/4" tweeters that pop sometimes, so i figure id need some bass blockers (using factory deck)

anyone know what Kh/Khz of a bassblocker i should get? Where can I find them? I tried bestbuy, FS, and 2001 aud vid

Also, does anyone know how to make your own?

bass blockers rarely do anything except with small speakers 3 1/2" 4"
your tweeters should already have bass blockers (a capacitor)
what your probably hearing is your deck crapping out
so get an amp to drive them or turn it down

i can see if he's running it active or forgot to put the crossover in

If the tweeters don't have a little capacitor on them then just buy a set from like www.partsexpress.com

I believe they are a part of the cdt upstage kit, the attenuator is used to adjust tweeter levels but it must be used in conjunction with a cdt xover with attenuator output, as the tweeter is xovered through the passive xover. Thus i dont think he has any caps inline already.

The source/radio shack may have them as well Mike.

a high pass passive crossover always has a capacitor

Also if they pop just once, they are probably dead now. Tweets can't handle that sort of thing.

</font>[/QUOTE]Hey pinhead, as your name clearly discribes you.... We are talking on the tweeter itself.. Not in the actual passive xover..

Go read before you post...
