ok guys and girls, ive got a question for you. when im playing really bassie songs(like late nite tip), my CD player(CDA 7897) will skip, i think. there will be no sound, and the song will skip 5-10 seconds normally. but somtimes it skips so bad it will play the next song. so, how do i stop it? and i was only able to use 1 of the 2 brackets to hold the player in. the top brackets holes line up good. but there are no holes in the player for the bottom bracket. so that maybe the problem. so what do i do?
Thanks |
And I guess turning the bass down to the point where it doesn't skip the CD player isn't an option?

i think u are just too loud!! like 200 db's probably.
|
hehe ignoring the useless points above .
yes you probobly need to secure your deck better. there should always be a way to screw in both sides of your braket if you used the proper deck kit |

One other thing you may wanna try is wiring the deck on a 12gauge power wire (fused) directly to the battery. We had the same problem and it was the voltage was dropping to much through the wire harness when the bass hit, the direct feed from the battery helped in our case.

I had the same prob with my Alpine deck, turned out to be a voltage problem as well.
|
heh. maybe I will rewire it. I did put the other bracket on and that seemed to help. well i guess i know what im doing tommorow...

Most of the better decks of this era will over-tax a stock power supply line.

maybe this is what my problem is,
i shure hope |
