Just wondering what people's thoughts are on bass tubes. In particular, the Bazooka passives.
Trunk space is a concern in my winter beater. [ January 14, 2006, 06:42 AM: Message edited by: mugen1 ] |
There ok to add a little bass but not tons of output. And then tend to work better in a hatch type environmemt.
|
If space is limited there great, sound ok too,ive used them in a few different cars all with decent results.(8' models).
|
Not a fan.
I would rather pick up a small single 10 truck box and an entry woofer. |
I've owned them twice in two different cars, an 89 stang hatchback and a 94 stang trunk. In both cases I used 2 10" passives with good amplifiers(rockford punch 150, and Earthquake 350-400 watt), up to today I still believe they are a good product for the money and very easy to move in and out of the car. They are light, sound good, and with 2 of them, produce a very substantial amount of bass that is easily heard down the street...if that's your thing. I like them for specific applications where the subs mobility is a necessary factor. I would not hesitate to use them again.

It's going in my 84 Accord, so being a hatchback it might do the trick. SAS (Bazooka) still the one to get these days?
They seem very efficient @ 104 db. Now who has a 10 inch passive for sale? New how much? Thanking you guys in advance for all your help... DUKK, they're ported, man. It's gotta be good. |
you got a pm
|
Well... the 10 isn't SO bad but the smaller ones are total poo. IMO anyway.
|
I have an AVI SL-200 in a sixth order box for sale....and it has 4 ports.4x better right Dukk.

Well, it's like my daddy always used to say: You can't be gettin' yerself too many ports...
My ol' man never actually said that but it would have been cool |
