I just wanted to let anyone who has them or is thinking about getting one, to be careful. Mine caught on fire. It looks like one of the cells exploded. I was lucky that I have a hatch, my car filled with smoke right away. I could only imagine one being in a trunked car with the seats up, I would suspect there would be a lot more damage. :(

A Memphis demo truck here with 6 15, 6 1000 watt amps, 8 battcapps, ext. ext. blah blah blah. Had a little problem with them. I walked in the shop the other day and the 8 battcaps were chillin on the counter. They were all wired together and bound together and stuff. Several of them blew up. and one whole side of a nother melted. and damn...they looked like they just got a little bit of target practice from my 300 Win. Mag. Kinda scared me into not getting any. I guess a whole lot of power in one little space like that has a whole lot of potential to EXPLODE. Under certain conditions of course. Sorry but i don't have those details. All i know is that they were on the counter basically completely destroyed.
