best 6.5" full range speakers

hi i am thinking of upgrading my rear speakers to 2 or 3 way full range speakers in my 2000 integra (i think component speakers in rear is too much work).
just wondering whats my best choice around $300?
i m thinking of focal 165 ca1 or boston sl 65 is there any better choices?

You gotta give a bit more detail for everyone. So far, this thread is too generic, and there are probably hundreds of threads covering what comps people like. If you google a bit, you will find what you are looking for.

People seem to like: Seas, Rainbow, DLS, Focal, MBQuarz, Boston Acoustics, CDT, Alpine, etc. You can find each one and more in that price range.

3-ways will take more work to install, but will sound nice. For $300 you can probably get better 2-ways, as 3-ways in the same SQ league would probably cost more.

First I probably wouldn't want full range for the rears... Second I'd think about what speakers will work; and would not worry about what name brand someone likes for some arbitrary reason....

well, how hard to install component speakers in 2000 integra?
where can i find out what speakers will fit?

based on experience with my '97, i wouldn't bother trying to fit components. it's a pain in the ass just getting the panels off to get at them let alone fabricating anything that will fit back there to house components.

theres nothing wrong with having rear fill and nothing wrong with them being coax.

also, the sizing for the rears are 6.5" just get any coax/triax that you like and throw them in (it will take a bit of work to get them mounted properly, the oem speakers are actually slightly smaller than 6.5 more like 6.25)

what would be my choices for good sound quality 2 ways speakers around $300.
please give me your opinion of your experience :)

i'm not gonna lie, i never spent very much on rears when i had my integra.
the most expensive coaxes i had in there were alpine type-s

honestly, your best bet is to listen to as many brands as you can and pick the one that you like best. you don't have to spend $300 to get good sound.

if you're looking at higher end names; then brands like focal, rainbow, image dynamics, mb quart, cdt and alpine.

listen to whatever you can and make the choice based on your ears.

good luck in your search
