best 8s -10s for crazy mid bass

I want to find out what people think would be the best 8-10 inch mid bass around.

each door would most likely have

2 8/10--> 200-400 wrms each in sealed box crossed over at around 50hz ?
2 4
2 tweeters

I want to build a strong front stage to keep up with 2 18s w allot of power.

whole system will be active as well.

any input would be greatful.

gotta get the front stage ready to try keep up with the bass those big amps of yours will be delivering :)

It is a good idea, with a couple 100dB/1W/1m

I used to use 2 Orion MB6s sealed up in the door of my old van....sounded good to me.

New van has 1 JL8W0-4 in each door for midbass.......115W each and the output is amazing, will definitely keep up with your 18s as they will take 200W or so easily if you keep the -50hz stuff out of them.....:smokin:

where can i find those JL8W0-4s n price

BigRedGuy 10-29-2010 10:14 PM

I knew there was something wrong with my post.....that should read JL10W1-4s, not W0s......grrr...:eyes:

At any rate......any JL dealer will be able to order them if they don't have any in stock......price should be $250 or less for a pair.

They are a beefy little 8.....mounting them in my doors required a pod built up of 6 layers of 3/4" MDF just to get them in......I'll have a pic or 2 of the new truck up soon.....:smilie_da
