I would never use an aspahlt based deadener, B-Quiet Ultimate seems okay though and price is okay for butyl based.

Hey, you lay in an inch of paper mache' and it's gonna be quiet.

Plus you already get the newspaper right?

Bubble wrap is a bad idea - it rustles and has no mass. I've lined interior panels with trunkliner though to stop contact vibrations. That works well and is cheap.

i will only use RHS. i WIll never use another product. IT cost me 80 to do my whole roof of my truck( double cab ). My roof was so bad that the roof skin ripped off all the cross members.

1 layer and its all good! solid like no other!. This stuff does what a few layers of dynamat or bquite will do.

Yup! Beat me to it. Bought 100square feet for under $200. Did my 2 doors, two layers in the roof, The rear deck and also rear trunk lid. Still have about 40sq ft left, probably going to do another layer in the doors then the rest in the trunk. Stuff doesn't smell, Nd will NOT peal off IF installed right, even in super hot weather.

I also used expandable foam in the roof and trunk lid. Helped a ton and also ensures the fatmat stays put. I gotta pick more of that up too.
