Best place to buy Orbital Extreme???

I'm thinking of upgrading the mostly dead battery in my car to an Orbital Extreme. I know Canadian Tire sells them for $180, but I was wondering if there are any better deals on this battery out there.

Are these the XCD's? That's a pretty decent price if so, depending on class../

Just go to SAM's club. They have Optima's. I picked up my yellow top for $180. They also have Red tops for around $140.

Yeah. Canadian Tire
Do all XCD's have the same specs?

Optima's suck.

Orbital makes the XCD in about a dozen or more sizes, however that's the only one I ever see in Canada.

Partsource (which is owned by CT) sometimes sells them cheaper as they go on sale there.

Uhm don't think so. I have seen dead Orbitals after 3 years. My Optima is 6-7 years old now and absolutely the best battery I have ever owned. You get what you pay for.

Old Optima's were great, but the new ones (after sale to Interstate) seem to be crap. Rarely do I see one last more than 2 years.

I killed one XCD thru extreme abuse, the thing was completely discharged over a hundred times when it stopped taking a charge reliably, and that was only in cold weather.
