Best Shallow sub...

Best Shallow sub...
Ive recently puchased a 2008 mazda b2300... problem is that it is regular cab and i need to ditch my other sub i had previousy owend because it wont fit in my new truck. I have been looking around and kicker and elemental designs seem to be alright, but i have never even heard a shallow sub in action. I was wondering if one of you have a unbiased opinion about the slim/shallow subs out there and which one would be my best bet. I want one that will pound hard and most of all... quality of sound is a factor too.
Any help would be most appreaciated

Here is a list of pictures of I beleie all the shallow subs I know of.
Out of these, apparently the kicker one is one of the closest to a regular sub, however it is one of the least shallow.
The ED\tang band one has gotten a lot of good reviews and they are very small.
Mixed reviews on the pioneer.

The only reason ive considered the elemental designs sub, is because i saw this video on the net and some good reviews

Looked on there website and it has a 2.5" voice coil (same as some of my larger full size subs) and 5yr warranty, and 5 star reviews by every user... sounds fishy for a 70$ sub but can it be true?
Ive been leaning on the kickers but... i still want to know about my other options before i decide. Thanks for the info AAAAAAA

Yes, I am biased with this suggestion. That being said the feedback in the field has been tremendous.

And while I'm here....Any opinions on the BASSLINK system from Infinity? I can't see it having amazing kick because its only 250W RMS, the frequency response isn't amazing and from what I understand the amp isn't the greatest anyway. Basically cuz I'm in the same boat as JayDog. I probably have more space, but less cash flow. So basically for both our benefits, is it worth looking into, or just stick with the shallow mounts?

I have Rockford Fosgate P3 12" DVC shallow mount in a Bassworks box. I put an extra set of speaker terminals in the box and ran wires for both coils so that it can be ran at different loads. It sounds pretty good and puts out a lot bass. I'm going to run until I complete my current box project and then sell it.
