best sub for my money amp-kx1500.1
hi everyone im new to your forum and was just wondering what the best sub for me would be. ive had my fair share of subs in my day and am tired of running lower rms subs. i recently just bought a a kicker zx1500.1 amp which is rated at 1500 rms at 2 ohms. i want something that will give me a nice tight bass but i want it also to be very punchy i want something that i can feel throught my body yet give be able to handle low hz i was kind of looking at the kicker l7s or maybe the alpine type-x's. any opinions will help alot thanks guys
oh yeah. i want 2 12's

Port low for sure. I like the idea of 2 dd 3512's. Never heard them personally, but I've never heard a bad thing about them. The kickers don't sound that good (the sq on my 15L5's sucked), and the type x's are wicked sealed but not super loud.

the type x is dual 4 ohm. so, one of those amps on each would make a pair sound great. Kinda pricey.
I'd go for a pair of the dual 2 ohm L7's. 2 ohm final load, 750 rmas each, just what they're rated for. and for 184.00 U.S. each, you'll have a hard time beating them. 68.00 for a cheappy box and you're good to go while you have a real custom box made.

the type x and kicker are in two diff. catagories, the type x is a SQ sub and a kicker is more SPL...for the money you pay check out www.ficaraudio.com they have some solid subs and arnt pricey at all...i would prolly recomend the Fi Q for what you want, as for the size go with as large as you can with the air space you have...
