Good grief, that thing takes 2500 WRms and only weighs 16.6 lb.? I know modern materials and such make a big difference of course, but I'm eyeballing a sub now that only takes half that and weighs in at 59 lb.
Looks really interesting.
EDIT: Uh, yeah, just spotted the MSRP....oh well.

Neodymium magnets are arm and a leg. They are known to be 6 times as strong than conventional magnets, so they use a lot less, so the weight is down a lot.
And I did not see a budget listed, so I went nuts with it. Not much info to go on from the original thread starter. Budget, space requirements, power requirements, weight requirements, output vs sq ratio, woofer size, etc.

Eyeballing is a cool game, I like it too. I am curious which sub you're eyeballing. I am eyeballing this one for my Golf...

They fit a lot of my requirements, and are realistically affordable to me.
Sasha: I think the one you are eyeballing would lower your car a little too much. Might have to buy 6000lb springs instead of 600lb.

Oh, box is going to be dual chamber, central port (slot) tuning comes in at 28HZ.
I know you were poking a bit of fun at me, but it looks like the front components will have to wait. I can do Head Unit,Box, Subs...OR front components. Cant do it all at once, budget is not there unless I start selling stuff. Usually I regret that later so why bother?
Cheers!

I'm old fashioned I guess, but big, sturdy, tough, are things that appeal to me. No, not in women

Very well built, pretty darn good WRms rating, and very, very loud in the right box.
Also, see warranty.
